I know it’s still summer break, but I need start engaging you about our first trip of the season.

Our scouts have picked the National Whitewater Center as our destination for our Sept 11, 12, 13 trip this year. This one promises to be a real adventure for all participants – scouts and adults! We’ll be using the AppSport pass, which includes more than enough whitewater activities, flatwater activities, and land activities to keep us all fully engaged for the day! (Scouts have to be at least 11 years old to be able to participate in ALL activities. The opportunities and requirements are in the link below.)

Logistics:

We will leave Friday afternoon Sept 11 at 5:00 from the Kroger parking lot as always. About 2 ½ hours later we'll arrive at Belk Scout Camp, just east of Charlotte, NC.

We’ll spend Saturday at the Whitewater Center, and return Sunday morning, Sept 13. The cost for the camping and Whitewater Center will be about $65 / scout, and about $75-80 / adult leader.  This will include Saturday lunch at the Center.

What do I need from you?

I need two things:

1) Initial count of adult and scout participants. Please send me your feedback this week by Aug 14.

2) Payment for your participation at the pancake breakfast on August 29.

I know this is vacation season, and not everyone will be at the pancake breakfast, so let me know please if I need to work out alternate arrangements with you.
