Troop Picnic Oct 6th

posted Oct 4, 2012, 9:38 AM by Keith Biegert
Reminder : This Saturday, Oct 6th, is the Troop 212 Annual Picnic at Harris Lake County Park.
Important Notes :
We moved the venue this year….to Harris Lake County Park. (If you go to Ritter, you’re gonna be Bitter)
Scouts are encouraged to bring a “SIDE Dish”, something that others will actually ENJOY (Where did that come from ?) Note that we will NOT have access to electricity so we can’t plug in any crock pots to keep things warm. Use your imagination but hey, what doesn’t go with Fried Webelos ?
Tom gets a pardon. We’re going Turkeyless. We will have hot dogs…and makings for Chilidogs. We will be frying French Fries and Onion Rings. And new this year…deep fried candy bars.
The event runs from 10am to 2pm.
This year’s theme : Urgency Preparedness. In years past, we built a North Korean Space Station and helped WWII POWs escape the NAZIs. This year, we host the Post Apocalypse, which I think would be an awesome name for a breakfast cereal. Post Apocalypses, with marshmallow treats … Red Dynamite, Blue Squids, Brown Globs, and Gray Zombies.
