Summer Camp

Troop 212 continues this year to offer outstanding opportunity to our scouts by offering two weeks of summer camp.  Both camps have new additions and host a
great scouting experience.  Summer Camp is one of the premier annual opportunities.  Don't miss out!
Camp Durant
June 20-26, 2021
Total Fee: $350
First Payment - $200 due by March 10
Final Payment - $150 due by April 28
There is no additional charges for MB at Camp Durant.
MB selections should be turned in by April 28
Late Registration Fee: TBD
Shirt orders and all camp forms due by May 26

Camp Raven Knob
July 4-10, 2021
Total Fee: $345
First Payment - $150 due by March 10
Final Payment - $190 (+ MB fees) due by May 26
MB selections should be turned in by March 10
Late Registration Fee: TBD
All camp forms due by May 26
If you plan to go to Camp Durant, please fill out your intent on the Camp Durant 2021 Google Form.
If you plan to go to Camp Raven Knob, please fill out your intent and merit badge selections on the Camp Raven Knob 2021 Google Form.

Important Dates
March 10--First payment due for Camp Durant ($200) and/or Camp Raven Knob ($150). MB selections for Camp Raven Knob due.
April 28--Final payment due for Camp Durant ($150), MB selections for Camp Durant due.
May 26--Final payment for Camp Raven Knob ($190 + MB fees). 
May 26--Shirt orders for Camp Durant due.  All summer camp forms due for both Camp Durant and Camp Raven Knob.

Food Allergies/Special Diets

Both camps can help with special dietary needs and concerns.  The camps request that we alert them to any special needs by June 1.  Please make sure all allergies (both food and non-food) are noted on the permission slip/consent form.

Scouts New to Summer Camp

Both camps offer programs specifically for a younger scout's first year at summer camp which your scout may participate.  However, based on previous experience, if your scout attends Troop 212's Boot Camp and other opportunities prior to attending summer camp, he will have learned many of the skills these programs offer and likely will have more fun jumping right into earning merit badges.

Some merit badges for First Year Scouts:
  • swimming
  • basketry
  • leatherwork
  • fish and wildlife/mammal study
  • woodcarving
  • nature
We highly recommend the swimming merit badge.  It is not only Eagle required but it is also a pre-requisite to several other merit badges and activities. Scoutcraft merit badges are also very hands on merit badges.
